Go Beyond the Table with National Nutrition Month. This annual campaign encourages us to reflect on the habits and food choices that influence our health. Going Beyond the Table means considering the journey food takes to get to our plate – growing, processing, distribution, and preparation. Beyond the Table also includes reliance on nutrition experts, registered dietitian nutritionists (RDN), for guidance on nutrition, improving our physical health, encouraging daily movement, and ensuring food safety.
Health and wellness look different for each person, but it is widely accepted that what we eat and how much we move directly impacts health throughout our lives. Keep an eye out over the next few weeks to learn how to go Beyond the Table to improve your health!
